June brings warm sunny weather and a couple of amazing events to Lake of the Ozarks. On June 6 th & 7 th , Lake Race 2015 brings boats from all over the country to compete. There are several viewing points by land along the race course and as always you can view the race up close by water. The course is set from the 1 to 6 mile marker of Lake of the Ozarks, Bagnell Dam will be closed and set-up as a viewing point. So make plans to come view the race, smell the octane and hear the thunder as the boats run the course. On the weekend of June 12 th , 2015 is The Canine Cannonball at Dog Days Bar & Grill. This has become a great annual event at Lake of the Ozarks as dogs compete for Big Air, Extreme Vertical and Speed Retrieve. This is a family event and opened to any dog willing to compete. Hot Summer Nights is one of the seasons premier events which lasts all summer long. Beginning in May and continuing through September, on the second Friday Night of each month, Cars, Trucks and Motorcycles line the Bagnell Dam Strip. This is a family event offering much more than just cars as Music, Clowns, Face Painting and many other activities fill the strip area with a festive atmosphere of fun and good times.
