December Events At The Lake of the Ozarks

If you are wanting to visit the Lake of the Ozarks this holiday season, there are many fun events happening all over the area. From Christmas parades to dinner with Santa, there are many festive events to celebrate the holiday. If you are visiting the Lake of the Ozarks this season, check out what you can do this month.

Christmas Village & Ice Skating

Fun Christmas activities such as S'Mores around the fire pit, Christmas Carolers, Santa, gingerbread house making, horse-drawn carriage rides, Elf storytelling and more. Plus, you can enjoy the Lake's only outdoor ice rink.

Christmas On Main Street

Celebrate the true meaning of Christmas with Main Street Music Hall with your favorite songs and a night full of laughter. Gabby Bumm and the talented cast is guaranteed to entertain every kid from one to ninety-two with an evening of clean, family fun.

Versailles Christmas on the Square

Vendors around the Courthouse Square, Versailles Choir singing on the Courthouse steps and the Santa will arrive on the Versailles Rural Fire Department Fire Engine. In addition, there will be a silent auction in the Annex of the Royal Theater.

Breakfast with Santa

The Lodge of Four Seasons will be bringing Santa to breakfast at HK's!

When: December 3 & 10

Running of the Elves

A 5K run/walk that begins and ends at the Camdenton Square. Early registration includes a t-shirt, elf hat and ears.

Camdenton Christmas on the Square

The festivities include games, ornament making, chocolate snowmen, prize drawings, craft tables, music, cookie decorating, petting zoo, hot dogs, hot chocolate, cookies and more! Santa will also be joining in the fun beginning at 11:30 a.m. People are encouraged to bring canned goods that will be turned into the LAMB House food pantry as part of the Can-Do Challenge.

Frosty Float

Go on a magical journey cruising the Lake of the Ozarks! The cruise will include fun, children's activities, hot cocoa and cookies. There will also be Christmas carols while you gaze at the beautiful Christmas light displays. Of course, the cruise wouldn't be complete without a visit from Santa. 

When: December 4, 11 & 18

Time: 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. 

Children's Christmas Play

Young Museum Players will perform "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" by Barbara Robinson. After the performance, enjoy cookies and punch.

Time: 3:30 p.m.
Cost: $5 per family

Christmas For Kids

Enjoy an evening of entertainment with hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar and a silent auction. This event is sponsored by the Christmas for Kids Committee, Kiwanis Club of Ozark Coast and Lake Area Businesses. All proceeds benefit underprivileged children in the Lake area, LOSA, Wonderland Camp, Hope House, Big Brother/Big Sisters, Lake Regional Pediatrics, YMCA, Share the Harvest Food Pantry and Kid's Harbor. Must be 21 to enter. 

When: December 10
Where: The Lodge of Four Seasons
Time: 5:30 p.m. - Cocktail party; 6:30 p.m. - Dinner; 7:30 p.m. - General Admission
Cost: $20 per person donation plus a new unwrapped toy (additional $20 without a toy).

Polar Express Movie Screening

Polar Express, featuring Tom Hanks, will be showing at the Wehrenberg Theatre. Children are invited to come in their pajamas and/or bathrobes for a visit with Santa followed by a viewing of the movie.

Time: Visit with Santa at 9:00 a.m. & Movie begins at 10:00 a.m.
Cost: $10 for Adults & $5 Children K - 12

Eldon Community Christmas 

Christmas parade followed by a visit with Santa, hot chocolate and cookies. Enjoy several church choirs and local performers sing some Christmas Karaoke and watch the lighting of the big tree after dark.

Where: City of Eldon (Whittle's Pocket Park)
Time: Parade begins at 3:00

Annual Christmas Workshop & Breakfast 

A fun morning filled with children's crafts! Enjoy a breakfast of biscuits & gravy or cereal, milk and juice. In addition, there will be a free gift shop where children can choose and wrap a gift for parents or caregivers, and there will be a display of nativities from around the world.

Where: West Lake Christian Church 
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Lake Ozark Christmas Parade

Celebrate the holiday season with the Annual Christmas Parade along the Historic Bagnell Dam Strip. Following the parade, kids can meet and greet with Santa at the bonfire at the top of the Bagnell Dam Strip at Two Bit Town. There will be treats, hot chocolate, coffee and refreshments, Christmas music and caroling.

Old Tyme Christmas in Linn Creek

A celebration of the Christmas season! A full day of holiday fun.

When: December 17
Where: Camden County Museum
