The best thing about springtime at the Lake of the Ozarks is the fact that boating season starts back up! It's the perfect time to hop on your boat and hit the water. During May, the Lake spring back to life and things begin to shape up for another summer of fun in the sun. It's truly the best time to get out on the water.
2. Participate In Fun Events
During the springtime, the Lake starts to wake up and there are fun events nearly every weekend! Hot Summer Nights and Bike Night both start back up in the spring, as well as many of the boating events. There are tons of fishing tournaments that happen all around the Lake area as well. There is always fun to be had when you visit the Lake of the Ozarks.
3. Get Outside
The Lake of the Ozarks is home to so much more outdoor adventures than just the Lake. From the state parks to Bridal Cave, there are many ways to enjoy the great outdoors. The Lake of the Ozarks State Park and Ha Ha Tonka State Park feature many walking trails and even some great fishing spots. Bagnell Dam Blvd., also known as The Strip, features restaurants, shopping, family entertainment as well as nightlife. During the spring and summer, there are also many fun community events that are held at the Strip including the Magic Dragon Street Meet (May 5-7), Hot Summer Nights (second Friday night of the month) and Bike Night (third Thursday of the month) just to name a few.
